Final Strike ® was formed in 1989 based out of the Northern Virginia area outside of Washington, DC. Founding members and friends since grade school; Doug Carter (vocals), Dominic Hines and Kevin Marcum (guitars) and Alan Meadows (drums) spent several years of writing and line up changes with limited engagements locally. Pursuing and providing the perfect product was essential.

By the early to mid 90's Final Strike was bearing down hard on the local scene playing with such acts as Dream Theater, Pantera and Overkill while maintaining their own headlining schedule at the same time. Musically compared to as "Testament meets Queensryche" the group primarily toured throughout the east coast. They were ready to take their stuff global and were shopping various labels.

With signature songs “Eyes of Eternity” ©, “Hall of Sorrow” © and “Obsidian” © to name a few, they were a headline group to be reckoned with. An excellent stage show and live performance only emphasized their devastating power locally and abroad. Clever and imaginative lyrics combined with astounding and intricate musicianship left fans literally blown off their feet.

Musical differences and internal strife forced Final Strike to part ways in the latter 1990’s with members pursuing other musical interests. Until now…..

Singer and songwriter Doug Carter has spent these past several years writing and keeping the name alive…..to live another day. With new songs like “Obsidian / Darkness Falls” ©, “Three Days Ago” ©, “Introspect” © and “Elysium” ©, Final Strike ® is ready to reign in again as a force to be reckoned with.

Finding the right musicians is fundamental and key to success…for any group or private endeavor. Final Strike is currently auditioning for the following talented musicians:

One should know this is a package deal and it is what it is. You’d be buying into a concept, an idea an image, and of originality. Weak minded individuals or ego-maniacs need not apply.
